One-to-one coaching

One-to-one business coaching for Irish owners.

Confidential work directly with Tommy Boyle, over 30 years advising business owners across every sector in Ireland, and over 20 years as a business broker bringing companies successfully to market through Sell The Business.

Coaching is tailored to where you are right now, scaling a growing operation, untangling a stalled one, preparing for a sale, or getting a read on a leadership issue that has started to affect the business. Paid coaching provides time to examine those issues more fully and consider the work that may be useful.

How it runs

Four things worth knowing before you send the enquiry.

Format

Coaching usually takes place in a 60 to 90-minute video call, with context and relevant figures shared beforehand to support the discussion.

What it covers

Business, team and leadership questions often overlap for owner-managers, so the work considers both the commercial situation and the pressures on the owner.

How it builds

The first session gets an honest read on where the business is and what to deal with first. From there we set out what the work looks like, whether that is a short focused piece or something that runs over a longer stretch.

Booking

Start with the free 30 minute introductory call to see if it is a fit, or send the short enquiry and you get a personal reply with times, usually within one working day.

What you leave with

A clearer read on where the business is, and what to deal with first.

Coaching often sits where business pressure and personal pressure meet. An experienced adviser can listen, question assumptions and help an owner examine the issues in a confidential discussion shaped around their business.

  • An honest read on where the business is right now
  • A view on what to deal with first, rather than everything at once
  • Next steps you can act on, with who does what by when
  • A sense of what the work would look like from here

In their words

What owners say about the sessions

Recommendations written on LinkedIn by people Tommy has worked for and with.

Brave enough to say what nobody else in the room is willing to say.

Tommy is an indispensable business advisor. He brings a refreshing no-nonsense approach and is brave enough to say what nobody else in the room is willing to say, but could be the most important thing that needs to be said. He can instantly move from a broad, macro approach on sales and marketing strategy, to giving excellent guidance on the nitty gritty and spotting a small, but critical detail on a financial report. Before working with Tommy a friend said to me, if you don't have Tommy advising your business, you're losing out. He is highly insightful and has an ability to quickly get to the crux of the issue. Very highly recommended. The proof is in the pudding and Tommy was instrumental in helping to more than double the level of business.

A real knack for seeing to the heart of an issue.

Tommy has a real knack for seeing to the heart of an issue and for helping the teams he works with arrive at solutions they may never have otherwise considered. He is an absolute pleasure to work with and if you get the chance to do so, you should jump at it!

How does coaching work

How does a session run
Coaching usually takes place in a 60 to 90-minute video call, with background information and relevant figures shared beforehand so the discussion can focus on the business.
